Methods of dental evaluation have wide application in post mortem identification of victims of crimes and mass disasters, evaluation of age of the deceased or analysis of bite marks with the aim of discovering the perpetrator. The study aims at getting acquainted with the dental principles and methods used in forensic medicine and to get dentists to pay attention to the great value of properly and accurately kept patient documentation. There also exists the necessity for standardization of these considerations with an international dental data base.
