Facings are laboratory made restorations that cover the labial surfaces of teeth in the anterior and anterior-lateral segments. They have particular application in teeth that are resistant to whitening (following tetracycline staining or endodontically treated teeth). The study discusses the indications and contraindications of using facings, and also the aspects that decide on aesthetics and harmony in the anterior segment. There is also attached a description of a case describing the clinical use of Edelweiss Venear composite facings with the aim of improving the aesthetics of the teeth in the anterior segment.
