Reconstruction of destroyed lower lip after fox bite

Streszczenie                                  

W pracy przedstawiono przypadek leczenia ubytku wargi dolnej po ugryzieniu przez lisa. Ubytek wargi wynosił około 40%. Pierwotnie ranę zaopatrzono szwami sytuacyjnymi. Po wygojeniu się rany i ustąpieniu infekcji dokonano rekonstrukcji  sposobem Schuchardta, uzyskując dobry wynik czynnościowy i estetyczny.

 

Summary

The study describes a case of treatment of loss of part of lower lip after a bite by a fox. About 40% of the lip was missing. The initial wound was closed using situational sutures. After healing and disappearance of infection, reconstruction was carried out using the method of Schuchardt. There was a good result both functionally and aesthetically.
