Sandblasting teeth and surfaces of root cement in periodontology

Streszczenie

Piaskowanie zębów jest zabiegiem higienizacyjnym, który polega na usunięciu z powierzchni zębów przebarwień zewnątrzpochodnych, najczęściej po nikotynie lub po chlorheksydynie, wraz z biofilmem bakteryjnym. W artykule przedstawiono wskazania i przeciwwskazania do zabiegu piaskowania, powikłania oraz procedury wykonania.

Abstract

The sandblasting of teeth is a hygienic procedure that consists of the removal from the surfaces of teeth discolouration that comes from the outside, most commonly after nicotine or chlorhexidine, together with the bacterial biofilm. The article describes the indications and contra-indications for the procedure of sandblasting teeth, the complications and the procedures involved.
