Streszczenie
Jedną z częstszych przyczyn zgłaszania się pacjentów do lekarza stomatologa jest chęć poprawy estetyki uzębienia, która została zaburzona na przykład przez starcie zębów. Jest to objaw procesów patologicznych (jak abrazja, erozja, nadmierna atrycja) zachodzących w jamie ustnej. Starcia mogą być horyzontalne lub wertykalne. Podstawą leczenia jest odpowiedni wywiad i badanie w celu poznania ich przyczyny. Prawidłowy zakres czynności diagnostycznych i terapeutycznych uwzględniających czynniki ogólnoustrojowe, stomatologiczne wewnątrz– i zewnątrzustnych, a także nawyków gwarantuje uzyskanie stabilności długoczasowej.
Abstract
One of the most frequent reasons for patients visiting a dentist is the desire to improve the aesthetics of the teeth, which has been disturbed, for example, by their wear. It is a symptom of pathological processes (e.g. abrasion, erosion, excessive attrition) taking place in the oral cavity. Tooth wear can be horizontal or vertical. The basis of treatment is an appropriate interview and examination in order to find out their cause. The correct range of diagnostic and therapeutic activities, taking into account systemic, dental, intra– and extraoral factors, as well as habits, guarantees long‑term stability.
