Celem pracy była ocena stanu jamy ustnej w grupie osób nadużywających alkoholu. Ocenę tę sformułowano na podstawie ankiety oraz badania stomatologicznego, które opierało się na pomiarach wskaźników OHI-S, PUWZ, GI oraz PBI. Uzyskano wyniki świadczące o tym, że stan zdrowia jamy ustnej alkoholików jest niezadowalający, co znalazło potwierdzenie w niedostatecznej higienie i złym stanie uzębienia oraz stanie zapalnym dziąseł.

The aim of the study was to evaluate the state of the oral cavity in a group of alcoholics. This evaluation was made on the basis of a questionnaire and dental examination based on the measurement of dental indices: OHI-S, DMFT, GI and PBI. The obtained results are evidence of the fact that the oral state of alcoholics is not satisfactory, which was confirmed by inadequate hygiene and bad state of the dentition and gingival inflammation.
