Regional odontodysplasia – description of disease entity based on literature review

Streszczenie
Odontodysplazja jest rzadkim zaburzeniem w rozwoju uzębienia, zarówno mlecznego, jak i stałego. Kliniczną manifestacją odontodysplazji miejscowej jest hipoplazja i hipokalcyfikacja zębów, z charakterystycznym obrazem radiologicznym noszącym miano „ghost teeth”. Celem pracy było przedstawienie cech klinicznych i radiologicznych tego zaburzenia rozwojowego zębów oraz omówienie obecnych możliwości jego leczenia.

Abstract
Regional odontodysplasia (RDO) is a rare developmental dental anomaly which can affect both the primary and permanent dentition. Clinical manifestation of ROD are hypoplasia, hypocalcification with characteristic radiological image known as „ghost teeth”.  The aim of this paper was to present the clinical and
radiological features of this dental abnormality and to present the actual possibilities of treatment.
